Former directors of Beaver 84, Steve Tysoe and Ian Smith have acquired the dedicated scaffolding business, Presco Scaffolding.
The deal comprises all the intellectual property, trademarks and brands associated with Presco Scaffolding as well as Presco’s 10,000ft2factory and distribution centre in Walsall, its 14 employees and partnerships with half a dozen factories in China.
The new owners, in conjunction with the Presco workforce, which will be expanded over the next 12 months, will reinvigorate the business and rebuild turnover by investing in factory methodology and R&D, adding to Presco’s current range of high-quality, durable and cost-effective scaffold fittings, couplers and ancillary items.
Plans are also in place to build on the bespoke scaffolding systems, in-house batch testing facilities and ability to own-brand product.
Steve Tysoe said: “We intend to refocus and return Presco back to its rightful place, to ensure that a great British business name is not lost as many others have been over the years.
“Our intention is to grow the business through partnerships, a more focussed approach to the client, either distributor or end user, to add products that enhance the current range and to bring back the bases of UK manufacturing where appropriate.”
