AirDeck records high sales numbers post-lockdown

Sayfa Systems’ AirDeck fall arrest solution experienced a big jump in sales post-lockdown.

AirDeck is a soft-landing solution primarily used within the construction industry. It is an innovative alternative to polystyrene filled bags and provides effective fall protection up to 3.25m above ground level.

AirDeck is easy to move, store and is kinder to the environment, making it a popular choice for construction and scaffolding companies.

The increase in sales figures is in line with growth within the UK construction industry. The sharp increase in demand for AirDeck, coming mostly from the construction industry, is evidence of businesses within the industry successfully adapting to the current environment.

According to data from ONS, Construction output grew by a record 18.5% in the three months to August 2020 compared with the previous three-month period.

It will be interesting to see what effects the second lockdown would have on the construction industry and economy.

Sayfa & AirDeck Sales Manager Kris Wilcox is optimistic about the future of AirDeck:

“2020 has certainly been a challenging year for our country and for its companies trying to drive its economic growth. The team we have worked hard with our valued customers, to show great recovery in Airdeck and in the market. A great start to the year and a very positive post lockdown has resulted in this year’s record sales, a 27% increase to this point last year. Airdeck has certainly helped us ride the wave of uncertainty. Export sales and contacts have increased this year and distributorships have been agreed with global companies, which provides an exciting and bright future for Airdeck at home and internationally.”

He also said that since anyone in any industry working at height can use AirDeck, as shown by customers ranging from construction, to vehicle maintenance, to public services, to shipping, there is great excitement about the potential and future of AirDeck. Kris added:

“I’d also like to say thank you to the AirDeck team who have shown great togetherness, passion and resilience in these difficult times.”
