The UK’s leading social housing maintenance provider Wates Living Space is inviting Waltham Forest based construction suppliers and sub-contractors to a ‘Meet the Buyer’ networking event, as it expands its presence in the area.
The event, held in partnership with Constructionline, will provide construction professionals with the opportunity to join Wates’ local supply chain network and benefit from upcoming work.
The event will take place at the Best Western Plus Epping Forest, 30 Oak Hill Woodford Green, IG8 9NY on Wednesday 23rd May from 9am until 1:30pm.
Opportunities are open to small and medium sized sub-contractors across a range of trades. These include: plumbing, electrics, joinery, painting, flooring, tiling and scaffolding, as well as window and door supplying and installing, fire risk assessments and associated remedial works, asbestos surveys and removal, and installers for the undertaking of responsive and voids maintenance.
Attendees will be given the chance to meet the teams at Wates and Constructionline, the UKs largest supply chain management company, and to register interest and tender for new housing repairs contracts.
Wates is also encouraging social enterprises to attend, after their companywide promise to spend £20m within the sector by 2020.
David Morgan, Managing Director of Wates Living Space, commented: “It is a critical priority for our business that we engage local supply chain partners, the benefit of which can be seen in the local employment and training opportunities that it generates.
“Appointing local businesses in Waltham Forest will ultimately ensure that the money invested in these regions remains here and that the local economic impact of our work brings a lasting legacy to the community.”
The event is expected to be in very high demand. Please register to attend in advance here: https://bit.ly/2rT9elJ
